TlalocTlaloc was the supreme god of rain. Later stories from Aztecs extended him to also being a god of fertility and water. He was widely worshiped for being the giver of life, but was also feared because of his ability to cause terrible storms, hail, and lightning. Aztec's often sacrificed young children to Tlaloc, they collected their tears in the same bowl they place their heart in. They did this on top of the 4100 meter hight mountain top of Mt. Tlaloc.
